This is the third Wecker series, following the original direct to DVD series and the televised D-02 . The suit designs for the show were based on Takara's Microman figures, and the actual toys happen to appear in the show. This series focuses on a group of Wecker cadets, aging from 11-15 years old. One other notable thing about this show is it appears to be the first time they've had male characters transform. The first is Jikuu Keiji Orion who is played by one of the Ultraman Mebius suit actors. The second is Hiroshi Watari who is known for playing the metal hero Spielban. He is also reprising the role of a characters from the original Wecker series.

The show debuted in 2007, and I'm not sure if I'd watch a Toku show with tweens as the heroes in it.
